MONROVIA, LIBERA-The Ministry of Education is warning public school authorities against imposing unauthorized insurance fees on students.
The Ministry said:” We have not instituted or given authority to any insurance group, to charge students for medical insurance coverage in public schools.”
In a statement issued Tuesday, October 26, 2021, the Education Ministry said the issue of medical insurance falls in the domain of parents and should be optional.
The Ministry is calling on parents to be mindful as information circulating regarding compulsory insurance payment is misguided, misinformed, and has the tendency to undermine the recommencement of Academic year 2021/2022.
