MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie is calling for an end to the culture of insults among Liberian politicians.
Minister Rennie said:” Political Leaders must learn a different style of politics, particularly putting the key issues on the table for quality debate.”
The Information Minister was particularly disappointed that former Vice President, Joseph Boakai, will join such style of politicking and reign insults on the Presidency.
Minister Rennie wants Ambassador Boakai rise above the fray and push his politics in a way that reflects respect for the presidency.
He said:” It is about time Ambassador Boakai and other political leaders make a declaration to only discuss the issues and stop the political culture of insults.”
According to the MICAT Boss, such style of politicking has negative reflection on the younger generation.
Minister Rennie was speaking Thursday, October 28, 2021, at MICAT regular press briefing in Monrovia.
