Young people celebrate Nat’l Youth Day in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Young people in Liberia have been urged to take ownership of Liberia, by working on ventures that would positively impact the society.

The Guest Speaker at the 52nd National Youth Day Celebrations, Assistant Education Minister, Tarnue Bongolee, called on young people to put behind them the errors of their lives, and fight for their individual development and empowerment.

Assistant Minister Bongolee said:” Young people can take full charge of the Country, by making positive use of the time and many learning opportunities available.”

Also speaking, Youth and Sports Minister, Zeogar Wilson, urged the youths to adequately prepare themselves so that they can take over from the current older generation.

At the celebration held at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville, Integrity Idol Emmanuel Tuloe and four outstanding young people were honored and presented forty-thousand Liberian Dollars each for their contributions to the society.
