Gov’t takes step to investigate recent high profile deaths in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The government of Liberia has taken a giant step towards getting to the bottom of investigation into recent high profile deaths in the Country.

The suspected three persons, including Liberia’s Peace Ambassador, have triggered the Ministry of Justice to order post mortem examinations.

The post mortem examinations are to be conducted on the remains of Liberia’s Peace Ambassador, Rev. William R. Tolbert, III, Immigration Officer Maude Elliot and John Tubman.

The Ministry, in a statement issued late Wednesday, November 3, 2021, said the move is part of full scale investigation into their deaths.

All three deceased persons were discovered at their homes in the early hours of November 1, October 31 and September 22, 2021,                respectively.

Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police (LNP) has named Byron Anderson and William V.S. Anderson, also known as ‘Baby Shad’, as persons of interests in the investigation into John Tubman’s death.
