MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Sierra Leone’s Anti-corruption Chief wants a joint fight against corruption between Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Mr. Francis Ben Kaifala said:” Those who corrupt the system in Liberia and flee the Country, using Sierra Leone, will be brought back to Monrovia to face prosecution.”
He was speaking Monday, December 6, 2021, when he met his Liberian Counterpart, Cllr. Edwin Kla Martin, at the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission offices in Monrovia.
The Chairperson of the Network of Anti-Corruption Institutions of West Africa also pledged his commission’s full support to the LACC, including program exchange.
For his part, LACC Executive Chairperson, Edwin Kla Martin, said:” Corruption has challenged the cultural and traditional foundation of the two countries, creating more poverty in the process.”
The LACC Boss praised the tremendous work of the Anti-Corruption Office in Sierra Leone, and said the two countries have a lot to learn from each other in the fight against corruption.
