MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Labor Ministry is rolling a job creation scheme for recent college graduates.

The program will begin this Thursday, December 16, 2021, with a five-day orientation workshop for applicants at the Ministerial Complex, in Congo Town.

According to a recent release issued, the initiative is a result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the Labor Ministry and the Liberia Chamber of Commerce, in June this year.

The MOU aims at providing an initial five-hundred jobs for recent university and college graduates, in furtherance of the Liberian Government’s Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD).

The Labor Ministry said over six-thousand applications were received during the recruitment process, of which eight-hundred have been vetted.

From that number, the first batch of three-hundred has been shortlisted for job placement beginning January, 2022.
