Gov’t launches First Public Mobile Network Service

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia, through the Liberia Telecommunication Corporation (LIBTELCO), has launched the first public   mobile network called LTC Mobile.

President George Weah launched the 4-G Mobile Voice service network on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at LIBTELCO Headquarters in Monrovia.

President Weah assured that the mobile network will be transformed into a vibrant and profitable enterprise that seeks to serve the interest of the Liberian people.

According to him, the launch of the service represents one of the important steps taken to enhance economic growth through job creation.

He said:” The service will also increase revenue generation and service delivery, especially in the telecommunications sector.”

Also speaking, LIBTELCO Managing Director, Richmond Tobii, said:” An amount of two-million United States Dollars, through the help of the Liberian Government, was invested to set up the mobile network.”
