MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Students of the William V.S Tubman University in Harper, Maryland County, have intensified their protest, affecting several government and private institutions in the County.

Several public and private schools have also shutdown normal academic activities, as a result of the protest.

ELBC Correspondent said the aggrieved students early Thursday morning, March 10, 2022, forcibly ordered the County Education Officer and Staff out and locked the Harper Offices of the Ministry of Education.

Meanwhile, Maryland County Education Officer Tehneseo Brohdoyen has condemned the actions of the students.

Mr. Brohdoyen said:” Students must learn to channel their grievances through dialogue and not violence.”

The ongoing protest in Harper was triggered by the halt of academic activities at the university, as a result of strike action by the faculty.
