Gov’t begins pavement of Barclayville’s streets

by Francis Pelenah Jr,

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Public Works, with funding from the National Road Fund (NRF), has begun Double Chip Seal pavement in Barclayville, Grand Kru County.

The construction of the principal streets of Barclayvile is a major boost for the people of the County, who have longed for pavement of their city’s main streets.

Since the establishment of Grand Kru County, there has been no pavement in the provincial capital, and the pavement will bring great relief to residents of Barclayville and its environs.

The Barclayville Double Chip Seal City Street pavement is a 2.5 kilometer project, with an estimated cost of over nine-hundred-twenty-three-thousand United States Dollars.

The ongoing project further demonstrates President George Weah’s commitment to road infrastructure development throughout Liberia.
