Malpractices damaging Liberia’s Education System-Amb. Boakai

by Jonathan O. Grigsby, Sr

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Former Vice President Joseph Boakai says malpractices are damaging Liberia’s education system.

Ambassador Boakai warned that if the act is left unchecked, the credibility and value of school certificates, diplomas and degrees will be highly questionable.

He named some factors responsible for such act as lack of requisite credentials by school principals.

The former Vice President said:” Besides, school principals do not receive adequate resources, including professional support,  to effectively execute their functions, coupled with limited resources to District Education Officers (DEOs) and County Education Officers (CEOs), among others.”

He spoke Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the First education stakeholders’ integrity forum for school administrators, teachers and students, in Monrovia.

The forum was organized by the Faith and Justice Network.
