SANNIQUELLIE, NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Nimba County Bar Association has begun a two day activities, in honor of Chief Justice Francis Korkpor.
The events are intended to show appreciation for Chief Justice Korkpor’s service to his country ahead of his retirement in September this year.
The events began with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Sanniquellie on Sunday.
Earlier the Parish presented him with seven kola nuts and a chicken as a sign of welcoming him ahead of his retirement.
Today, Monday, August 8,2022, Chief Justice Francis Korkpor is expected to witness his last court opening at the Eight Judicial Circuit Court in Sanniquellie City.
The law requires that Chief Justice and Associate Justices retire at age seventy.
In a related development, Circuit Courts A, B, C and D across the Country will open for the August Term today Monday.
At the Temple of Justice in Monrovia, Criminal Court A Judge Roosevelt Willie will deliver the charge.
