by Francis Pelenah Jr,

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Bhofal Chambers, has described the death of Catholic Archbishop Emeritus Lewis Zeigler as immeasurable.

Dr. Chambers said:” The late Archbishop Zeigler dedicated his entire life to the cause of the Catholic Church and humanity.”

He said the late Archbishop’s contributions to the religious community are key reasons why the Catholic Church continues to grow in Liberia.

In a statement on Monday, August 15, 2022, Dr. Chambers expressed his sympathy with the bereaved family and thousands of Liberian Catholics mourning the death of Archbishop Zeigler.

The late Catholic Prelate was appointed Archbishop of Monrovia on February 12, 2011, after his predecessor Archbishop Michael Kpakala Francis became incapacitated due to poor health.
