MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Head at the Finance Ministry says Liberia’s current Gross Domestic Product (GDP) shows that the Liberian Government has made significant economic progress.

Speaking to ELBC Economic Hour on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Mr. Edwin Payegar said: “Amid global economic threats caused by the COVID-19 Virus, the Country’s microeconomic remains viable.”

According to him, Liberia’s GDP has sharply increased in the last three years, signifying a major economic upturn.

Mr. Payegar said such economic reforms could be ascribed to Government’s robust implementation of crucial microeconomic policies.

The MCC’s Head also credited such development to Government’s Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD), which focuses on the revitalization of the economy as a top priority.
