MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Institute for Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS) has announced official closure of enumeration in the 2022 National Housing and Population Census.
On November 11, last year, LISGIS began a nationwide census exercise following an official proclamation by President George Weah in line with constitutional mandate.
According to a release, the 2022 National Census instituted several data quality monitoring mechanisms and leveraged technology to implement interventions towards ensuring complete and accurate census processes.
The release said prior to the enumeration closure, LISGIS also launched follow-up assessment of quality data collected and corrected errors, while enumerators were still in the field.
The LISGIS Management also lauded the Liberian Government and partners for technical and financial support leading to the success of the census.
Meanwhile, LISGIS has assured the public of releasing Provisional Census Results beginning January 24,2023.
