MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Weah has told his support base that Government’s transformation agenda is on course, but will take some time before it is fully achieved.
President Weah reference that just as “Rome was not built in one day”, it will take some time for his national development plan, the Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD), to be fully achieved.
The Liberian Leader said:” Over the past five years Liberia has made tremendous progress, triggering many bold initiatives seeking to bring about the transformative change that Liberia needs to grow and prosper. Some of these initiatives have represented new strategic approaches to development, while some were tried and tested formulas for nation-building.”
He added that such approaches were designed to work together to lift Liberia and Liberians to a higher standard of living, emphasizing the need for a second term mandate.
President Weah spoke over the weekend in Monrovia, during ceremony marking his nomination by the governing CDC as the Standard Bearer, ahead of the October 10 Presidential and Legislative Elections.
