Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission Validates Draft Certification…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC), in collaboration with line ministries, agencies and stakeholders, has validated the draft Certification and Licensing of Electricity Professionals.

The Commission has also validated the Contractors Regulations, and Writing Regulations, including the Liberia Electricity Wiring Code.

The move, according to a release, seeks to establish standards of electrical professionals and contractors in the discharge of their duties.

It also seeks to establish requirements, procedures, and practices for the enforcement of minimum standards for distribution of electrical energy.

The release also quotes the Chairman of the LERC Board of Commissioners, Dr. Lawrence Sekajipo, as assuring best regulatory practices.
