MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Coalition for Democratic Change, (CDC), has condemned recent violence in District Ten, Montserrado County.

In a release, the CDC said it is appalled by the alleged report of violence instigated by some residents of the District, describing its mastermind as anti-peace elements.

The release also quotes the Coalition as describing the orchestrated act as an attempt by unprincipled individuals to undermine the hard-earned peace being championed by its Standard Bearer, President George Weah, over the years.

The recent District Ten violence has reportedly resulted into assault on peaceful citizens, destruction of properties and violation of the rights of many.

The Party also wants the immediate de-escalation of the violence, cautioning all actors of the violence or those who still harbor the intent of regrouping to desist and utilize the administrative or legal framework to seek redress.

Meanwhile, the Coalition is calling on the Justice Ministry to investigate the District-Ten violence and bring the perpetrators to justice.
