MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has refuted reports of signing Gay Rights at the just-ended Zambia Democratic Summit.

The Monday’s publication of the Independent Probe Newspaper captioned “Weah’s Government Endorses Gay Rights Law at Democracy Summit”.

But, responding on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie said:” Such publication is totally untrue and unfounded.”

Minister Rennie said:” Discussions held at the Zambia Summit squarely focused on democracy and Liberia’s preparedness to holding free, credible and inclusive elections in October.”

Minister Rennie urged the media to be professional in their reportage, especially in these electioneering periods.
