Central Bank of Liberia Predicts Risk-Free Environment for Liberian Businesses

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) has predicted a risk-free environment for Liberian businesses, as a result of the introduction of its digital banking platforms.

The CBL had earlier introduced and operated series of digital banking platforms to tackle issues of financial security between commercial banks and local businesses.

The Director of Payment Systems at the CBL, Miata Kuteh, told ELBC on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, that the use of the digital services is helping to reduce frauds and discrepancies in banking operations.

Madam Kuteh said such has also helped the Bank to open new corridors for corporate entities to operate freely, without harm being posed.

Madam Kuteh is urging local traders, mainly women, to practice the use of digital banking to secure opportunities for their businesses.

She said digital banking   could guarantee the future of their businesses and build solid and credible records to enable them get loans from commercial banks and the CBL.
