by Maximilian K. Kasseh jr

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Justice has reacted to social media reports that it is reluctant to bring charges against perpetrators in the death of former Chief Justice Gloria Musu Scott’s niece, Charloe Musu.

The Ministry, in a release issued, said it has no particular interest in shielding doers of the act, other than its statutory interest of ensuring that the appropriate legal procedures are followed.

According to the Justice Ministry, it is yet to receive a written report from the Liberia National Police (LNP) on the investigation.

It added that the LNP and Justice Ministry doesn’t carry out investigation based on sentiments and that when the Ministry receives the report and peruse same, the appropriate decision shall be made, based on the evidence provided.

The Ministry of Justice is, at the same time, urging the public to remain patient, as these kinds of processes require thoroughness.
