Nat’l Wash Commission Threatens Actions against Sub-standard Water Producing Companies

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chairman of the National WASH Commission has threatened drastic actions against companies producing sub-standard water in the Country.

Mr. Bobby Whitfield said:” The Commission will no longer condone any company producing water without a proper testing facility.”

He also called on Liberians to depoliticize the sector and support efforts aimed at improving it.

Mr. Whitfield disclosed plans that the WASH Commission will hold a three-day joint sector review conference on the sector.

According to him, the conference will be held on April 27, 2023, and the review process will focus on the sector performance report, strategic plan, and the Presidential WASH Compact.

Meanwhile, funding for the conference will be provided by the United Nations Children’s Agency (UNICEF).
