Liberia Broadcasting System Rural Broadcasters Get Training…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Rural Broadcasting Division of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) has begun three-day training for reporters of the division.

Speaking at the start of the training on Monday, May 22, 2023, LBS Deputy Director General for Rural Broadcasting, Isaac Redd, said:” The training is intended to increase the knowledge and programs of rural broadcasters”.

Mr. Redd noted that the exercise is ahead of the launch of LBS National Language Radio to inform and educate rural dwellers about Government’s development initiatives and other programs.

Rural broadcasters are being drilled through broadcast script writing, news gathering, and proximity of news, among others.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Superintendent Council of Liberia, Janjay Baikpeh, lauded LBS Management for the initiatives and urged the participants to make use of the training.
