MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia is expected to host the first-ever Sexual Reproduction Health Rights Conference, beginning this Friday at Ellen Johnson- Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Congo Town.
The conference will bring together more than four hundred participants, including youth, health practitioners, religious leaders, rural women, and policymakers, amongst others.
It is being organized by a local group, Amplifying Rights Network, with support from the Embassy of Sweden, DKT International, Liberia Red Cross, Action Aid, and several others.
Speaking on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, on the program ‘Women Let’s Talk’ on ELBC Radio, the Communication and Visibility Lead of Amplifying Rights Network, Siatta Scott-Johnson, said:” Speakers at the program will be sharing insights into strategies and actions on Sexual Reproduction Health and Rights in Liberia”.
She named Dr. Tialeng Mofoleng, UN Special Rapporteur on SRHR as Guest Speaker, while Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor, Dr. Peter Coleman, and First Lady Clar Weah, will serve as Special Guests.
