MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Wildlife Crime Taskforce of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA) has confiscated seven live crocodiles and two monkeys, from the home of Noah Ark Institute’s proprietor in Barnesville.

The operation was headed by the FDA’s Wildlife Crime Taskforce, with backing from the Special Wildlife Crime Investigative Unit of the Liberia National Police (LNP).

The Taskforce’s action followed a Writ of Search and Seizure warrant issued by the Gardnerville Magisterial Court under the garble of Stipendiary Magistrate, Patrick Tamba.

Two phones and a laptop belonging to Mr. Bestman were also seized in the operation and will be accessed by digital forensic experts to determine whether he has been involved with wildlife trafficking.

A statement issued by the Taskforce said the confiscated crocodiles and monkeys have already been taken to the LIBASSA Wildlife Sanctuary in Margibi County for proper care and treatment before allowing them into the wild.
