Over 20 Business Owners Benefit from Empowerment Fund…

GRAND BASSA COUNTY, LIBERIA-More than twenty Liberian business owners in Grand Bassa and Margibi Counties have benefitted from an empowerment fund to help their businesses.

The disbursement of over eight million Liberian Dollars is an empowerment program initiated by President George Weah for rural women and small and medium enterprises.

At the presentation ceremony at the Grand Bassa County Service Center in Buchanan on Tuesday, September 25, 2023, Commerce Ministry Communication Director, Jacob Parley, said:” The disbursement is in keeping with President Weah’s commitment to empowering local business owners.”

Mr. Parley said:” Each business owner received three hundred thousand Liberian Dollars to further develop their businesses and contribute to the local economy.”

Responding, the recipients conveyed their gratitude to President George Weah for his unwavering commitment to improving the conditions of Liberian business owners.
