MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) has announced a twenty-four-hour closure of land borders across the country on Monday, October 9, beginning at six in the evening.
Making the disclosure over the weekend, LIS Communication Director, Abraham Dolley, said:” The borders will be reopened on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, beginning at eight in the morning.”
Col. Dolley said the LIS Authorities have since communicated with their counterparts in neighboring countries.
Col. Abraham Dolley said:” Tight border surveillance is absolutely imperative to prevent unnecessary distractions, and allow electorates to freely exercise their franchise on Election Day.”
