Pres. Weah Calls on Liberians to Sustain Peace, Demonstrate True Love during Festive Season

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has called on Liberians to continue sustaining the peace of the country and demonstrating true love during and after the festive seasons.

President Weah urged Liberians to use the birth of Jesus Christ to teach the value of sharing.

The President said:” The birth of Jesus Christ brought light and redemption to mankind.”

The Liberian Chief Executive asserted on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, when he lit the Christmas Tree on the Grounds of the Executive Mansion on Capitol Hill in Monrovia.

Meanwhile, he has consoled the Government and people of Kuwait, following the death of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait.

He died on December 16, 2023, at the age of eighty-six.

In a message to the King of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Sabah, President Weah described the Emir’s death as irreparable while asking God to particularly console the bereaved family.

President Weah said the late Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah will be remembered for his extraordinary contributions to international peace, security and diplomacy.

The Liberian Leader then prayed that Allah grants the King and resilient people of Kuwait, comfort and strength during this difficult period of national mourning.
