MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Criminal Court “A” has summoned Justice Minister Frank Musa Dean and Probation Director over contempt charges.
Cllr. Dean and the Director of Probations are to appear before the Court today, Friday, January 5, 2024, to show reasons why they should not be held in contempt.
The Court’s action followed repeated failure by the Justice Minister to conduct sentence hearings and submit an investigative report on former Chief Justice, Gloria Musu-Scott and three others on January 4 as mandated.
On December 7 last year, Criminal Court “A” ordered a sentenced hearing on the characters of former Chief Justice Scott, Rebecca Wisner, Alice Johnson, and Gertrude Newton.
They have since been found guilty by jurors of Criminal Court “A” for murdering Charloe Musu in February last year at their Brewerville residence.
Meanwhile, the sentencing proceedings have been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
