“Progress is Being made on Extra Sitting Discussion”- Senate Pro-Tempt Albert Chie

by Maximilian K. Kasseh jr

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Senate Pro-Tempt Albert Chie says progress has been made on the discussions of extra sitting thus far.

Pro-Tempt Chie said:” I have communicated with the Head of the staffers, Charles Brown, on progress being made thus far.”

The Senate Pro-Tempt said the action of staffers disrupted the hearing for Associate Justice designated, Musa Dean.

The protest also disrupted the appearance of Public Works Minister Ruth Coker-Collins and the confirmation hearing of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) Commissioner General Designate, Samora Wollokollie.

On Thursday, January 4, 2024, aggrieved staffers of the Liberian Senate stormed the grounds of the Capitol in demand of their extra sitting arrears.
