MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Criminal Court A has reaffirmed the trial jurors’ guilty verdict with life imprisonment for former Chief Justice Gloria Musu-Scott and three other murder convicts.
Judge Roosevelt Willie on Tuesday, December 9, 2024, said the State proved beyond reasonable doubt to warrant the defendants’ conviction as provided by Chapter 50, Section 50.5 of the New Penal Law of Liberia.
However, Defense Lawyers took an exception to Judge Willie’s final judgment by announcing an appeal to the Supreme Court of Liberia, to overturn the judgment as provided by law.
Defendants Gloria Musu-Scott, Rebecca Wisner, Gertrude Newton, and Alice Johnson were found guilty of killing Charloe Musu on February 22, 2023, at their Brewerville residence.
