by Maximilian K. Kasseh jr

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Senate has finally adjourned its Special Session of the last segment of the 54th Legislature.

In commemoration of the occasion, Senate Pro-tempore Albert Chie and other members of the Senate’s Leadership Committee thanked all Senators for their cordiality during the session and over the last six years.

The Senate Leadership Committee said it is filled with gratitude and a profound sense of responsibility for ensuring that the Liberian Senate remains on the practice of democracy.

In a release issued recently, the Committee said despite the differences, Senators reviewed and passed numerous legislations, exercise oversight, and instituted many legislative reforms, among others.

The Senate Leadership Committee also applauded staff and employees of the Senate for the services rendered over the last six years and urged them to always remain law-abiding.
