MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Rubber Planters Association is calling on the incoming Government of Liberia to enforce Executive Order 124, banning the exportation of unprocessed rubber.

The Executive Order was issued by President George Weah last year.

Speaking at a news conference on Thursday, January 11, 2024, the President of the Rubber Planters Association, Tokpa Mulbah, said:” The Association will petition the incoming 55th National Legislature to enact a law to abolish the exportation of unprocessed rubber.”

Mr. Mulbah believes that the processing of rubber in Liberia will increase revenue collection and attract more investments to the Private Sector.

The President of the Rubber Planters Association of Liberia maintained local processing of rubber will also create jobs for Liberians and boost the economy.
