MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A member of the European Union Delegation to Liberia has donated sixteen boxes of stethoscopes to sixteen female medical students from the A.M Dogliotti College of Medicine in Monrovia.
Mr. Kirill Nikolov, from Bulgaria, said:” The stethoscopes were procured and donated by my family as a way of contributing to the studies of the benefiting medical students.”
Presenting the items on Thursday, January 11, 2024, the EU member of the Delegation said since taking assignment in 2019, he has created a special bond with Liberia, especially those in the Medical and Martial Arts professions.
Mr. Nikolov acknowledged the benefiting students to make maximum use of the equipment to enhance a professional medical career in the future.
In appreciation, to the medical students, all females, Kirill Nikolov for the donation and promised to use the instrument to enhance their studies.
Meanwhile, the EU Head of Delegation, Ambassador Nona DEPREZ, has lauded Mr. Kiriil Nikolov and his family for donating the instruments.
Ambassador DEPREZ said:” Though the EU is not working in the Health Sector, it was pleased to participate in the donation of the instrument.”
The EU Head of Delegation promised continued support to Liberia in other areas to advance the holistic development agenda of the Country.
Ambassador Nona DEPREZ then urged the benefiting students to challenge their male counterparts, stressing that the future of Liberia equally rests upon their seriousness.
According to her, the medical profession can only be enviable if the students strive for professionalism and are ethical in their efforts to save lives.
