Pres. Boakai Expected to Leave for Cote d’Ivoire Today

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai is expected to leave the Country later today for Cote d’Ivoire on a one-day State Visit.

President Boakai and his Ivoirian Counterpart, President Alassane Ouattara, are expected to hold talks on matters of mutual benefit for both countries.

According to an Executive Mansion release issued recently, Presidents Boakai and Ouattara will discuss matters on the Liberia-Cote d’Ivoire Framework Agreement, Electricity, Agriculture, and Regional Security.

The release said the Liberian Leader is also expected to participate in the Liberia-Cote d’Ivoire  Joint Commission Meeting to review significant issues, including the enhancement of ties of friendship and cooperation.

The President’s entourage includes Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Finance Minister Boima Kamara, and Agriculture Minister Alexander Nuetah, among others.

While the President is away, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs Sylvester Grigsby, will Chair the Cabinet in close consultation with the Vice President and via telephone with the President.
