MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Officer-in-Charge of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) has described as unfounded,  reports linking him to squandering over six hundred thousand US Dollars.

Recently, there have been trending social and traditional media reports linking Mr. Jacob Kabakole to financial improprieties at NOCAL.

But speaking at the MICAT Press Briefing on Monday, April 1, 2024, Mr. Kabakole said:” The allegation is untrue and only intended to besmear my high-earned reputation.”

The NOCAL Officer-In-Charge said:” At no point in time in my oversight at the Company did I sign off on any disbursement of such fund as erroneously reported.”

Mr. Jacob Kabakole is, meanwhile, warning media outlets that are engaged in spreading falsehood about the Company to desist and double-check their facts before publication or broadcast.
