MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-President George Weah says he will never weaver on his commitment to deliver good leadership to the Liberian people.
President Weah said that he will always do what he can to attract opportunities that are intended to improve the livelihood of his people.
Speaking on arrival from the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Monday, September 26, 2022, the Liberian Leader told reporters:” I will never get tired of making Liberia’s case to the International Community.”
He said his third visit at UNGA in New York has further cemented Liberia’s billing as a major player among the Comity of Nations.
President Weah said: “The recent trip will attract the needed international investments and goodwill towards Government’s development programs.”
President Weah is also urging Liberians to keep calm in the wake of concerns about the shortage of the nation’s stable food, rice.
He said:” I have been assured by rice importers long time ago that there is enough supply in the Country that could last up to next year.”
The Liberian Leader then promised to verify for himself, through visit at rice storage facilities at the Free Port of Monrovia.
The Liberian Chief Executive reassured Liberians of Government’s commitment to ensure the availability of rice to the population at an affordable price.
The president was greeted on arrival by hundreds of citizens who jam-packed the Roberts International Airport to welcome him back home.
