MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai says the United States and Liberia’s relations will continue to grow from strength to strength.
President Boakai said:” The US has and will continue to be the strongest ally and supporter of Liberia’s progress.”
The President committed the Government of Liberia’s determination to forge a greater bond of friendship with its counterpart.
The Liberian Leader spoke on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, upon receiving the Letter of Credence from the US Ambassador to Liberia in Monrovia.
President Joseph Boakai then craved peace and mutual respect, as both countries continued to solidify bilateral ties.
For his part, the US Ambassador to Liberia, Mark Toner, has called for a new chapter to be forged in bilateral ties between the two countries.
Ambassador Toner said:” The chapter is a reaffirmation of the US support to Liberia’s path to development.”
The US Envoy then pledged the US Government’s commitment to supporting programs and policies that are in the best interests of citizens of both countries.
Ambassador Mark Toner replaces Michael McCarthy.
