MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has begun a three-day training of trainers’ workshop for technicians in the agricultural sector.
Speaking at the program on Thursday, March 13, 2025, in Monrovia, the proxy of FAO country Representative, Ibrahim Ahmed, said the training is aimed at equipping the participants with technical expertise and tools in pest management.
He noted that the participants will be drilled through several technical skills, including pest identification and management techniques and control.
Also speaking, Deputy Agriculture Minister for Technical Services Solomon Hedd-Williams described the training as a milestone for the agriculture sector.
Mr. Williams thanked the FAO and urged the participants to transform the skills acquired into tangible results to end hunger, achieve food security, and promote sustainable agriculture.
