by Administrator

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A high-level Barbadian delegation is expected to arrive in Liberia this week for a three-day visit aimed at strengthening cultural, heritage, and economic relations between the two countries.

According to a Foreign Ministry release issued recently, the delegation is being led by the President of Barbados, Dame Sandra Prunella-Mason, and is expected to arrive in the country on May 8, 2025.

President Mason’s visit comes more than a year after both countries established diplomatic relations under the leadership of Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti.

The new diplomatic relationship aligns with Liberia’s foreign policy goals to enhance engagement with Caribbean nations and seeks tourism, trade, and investment opportunities.

The three-day visit will include signing a bilateral agreement, a luncheon at the Monrovia City Hall, and a visit to Providence Island on May 9.

On Saturday, May 10, the Bajan delegation and President Joseph Boakai will travel to Crozerville for a series of programs, including the dedication of a Presidential Monument sponsored by the Africa-Barbados Initiative.
