MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Lottery Authority (NLA) says it welcomes the recent decision of President George Weah to reopen the Gaming Sector in Liberia.
The Gaming Sector includes casinos, sports betting institutions and slot machines.
They are expected to reopen to the public on June 21st, this year in line with health protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
According to a weekend release, President Weah’s decision is also meant to revive Liberia’s struggling economy, especially during this health crisis. Meanwhile, the NLA is urging sports betting institutions, slot machines and others whose operational permits have expired, to regularize their status or face the consequences of non-compliance
