MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Liberia’s Ambassador to the United States, Canada and Mexico, George Patten, is in hospital in the United States after testing positive for Coronavirus.
A dispatch the Liberian Embassy in the United States, says Ambassador Pattern was on August 12, 2020 taken to hospital in Washington D.C., where he is undergoing medical treatment.
According to the dispatch, all Diplomats and most staffers from the Embassy have been working from home with a few from the Consulates Section routinely rotated at the offices to meet the needs of the public.
It says the Embassy remains open for business and cautions everyone visiting to observe social distancing and all health protocols.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Pattern speaking from his hospital bed, cautioned Liberians in the United States, Canada and Mexico to consistently adhere to health protocols established by health authorities.
