Monrovia Liberia – Montserrado County District 9 Representative Aspirant Fubbi Henries says Liberian businesses must be given first preference to improve the economy.
Mr. Henries said over the years, Liberia has spent more on the importation of basic goods, something that has hindered the growth of the country’s economy.
According to Mr. Henries if the Liberalization policy must be achieved, young people must be empowered with the necessary skills training to boast the potential of Liberian businesses.
“If we continue to import soap and other things, we are making other countries rich while we continue to stay behind” the Montserrado District 9, Representative Aspirant added.
Mr. Henries was speaking Tuesday at the unveiling of a skill training program under his sponsorship.
Over hundred women are being trained in different categories of soap making at the Mulbah and Royalty school of Skill and Life Empowerment the in Sinkor.
