MONROVIA, LIBERIA – A ten-day Smart Mining Techniques Training gets underway this Monday, January 18, 2021 for Members of mining cooperatives in Sinoe and Grand Gedeh Counties.
The initiative is under the Liberia Forest Support Project (LFSP), funded through a World Bank partnership with the Liberian Government.
A release says the training will expose the miners to smart techniques and safer methods of carrying out their mining activities, among others.
According to the release, a technical Team from the Ministry of Mines and Energy, headed by Assistant Minister for Planning and Development, Johnson Willabo, will facilitate the Training in the two counties.
The release also quotes Mines and Energy Minister, Gesler Murray as commending donor partners for the training.
