MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Acting Public Works Minister, Ruth Coker Collins, has given an update of the outlook of Liberia’s road network and the status of ongoing interventions, ahead of President George Weah’s visit to Lofa County.
According to Madam Collins, the Ministry has also deployed several contractors on key sections of the roads connecting major parts of Lofa County.
She said:” Works are progressing well on the Lofa Road from Gbarnga through Salayea, Zorzor, Konia, and Voinjaima.”
Madam Collins said Chinese Firm, Chico is very active along the stretch doing some reshaping, compassion and demolding.
The Acting Minister was speaking Monday, May 31, 2021, during a special press briefing at the Ministry of Information Culture Affairs and Tourism in Monrovia.
Madam Collins said the ministry has so far neutralized some of the key challenges along the route to ensure that the roads in Lofa are plyable, even after the President’s visit.
