MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police (LNP) has declared the Country safe, and urged citizens not to panic.
Series of high profile killings in the Country have created fear and a sense of insecurity among Liberians, in recent times.
But speaking at the MICAT regular press briefing Thursday, November 11, 2021, Deputy Inspector General Marvin Sackor declared that Liberia is free, secured and safe.
Col. Sackor said:” The LNP is working with community structures to increase its presence, and enhance security across the country.”
Colonel Sackor called on Liberians to cooperate and join the police in fighting crimes, to enhance safety and the security of the State.
Meanwhile, the Joint Security has begun deployment ahead of the pending Representative By-Elections.
Police Deputy Inspector General for Operations, Marvin Sackor, that the joint security deployment is to ensure the safety of polling materials and voters.
He called politicians to cooperate with the joint security and act within the confines of the law.
The By-Elections are taking place in Districts One in Bomi, Nimba and Grand Gedeh Counties, as well as District Two in Bong County.
The elections day is Tuesday, November 16, 2021
