MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah says he remains optimistic about transforming the country and its people. President Weah said:” Amid impact caused by COVID-19, his Government has strived to good for Liberia.” The Liberian Leader boosted of constructing more roads, hospitals, markets, and other infrastructures, unlike previous administrations. He appealed to citizens of the District-Eight to give him another six-year mandate to complete projects started over five years ago. President Weah spoke in District-Eight ON Tuesday, August 9, 2023, during an interactive engagement with citizens of the District. Meanwhile, the Liberian Leader has hailed citizens of District-Eight for maintaining the country’s peace. He said:” Embracing the tenets of democracy and upholding the rule of law are clear signs of citizens’ quest to maintaining the peace they now enjoying.” President Weah, however, said no amount criticisms will deter him from developing the country. President George Weah also pledged to create an avenue where freedom of the press and association will be the hallmark of the day. At the same time, Montserrado County District-Eight Representative, Acarous Gray, has encouraged citizens of the District-Eight to vote President George Weah on a one-round ticket. Representative Gray said:” Re-electing President Weah will allow him complete many developmental projects he initiated.” The District-Eight Lawmaker said:” To enhance the implementation of Government’s development plan, the citizens should also re-elect legislators on the CDC ticket.” Representative Acarous Gray expressed optimism that President George Weah remains unmatched by all competitors in the ensuing presidential race.
