MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The University of Liberia has announced the commencement of classes for the second semester of 2019/2020.

UL President, Dr. Julius Nelson, said:” Classes will begin on July 28, as a special e-learning semester.”

Addressing a press conference Thursday, July 2, 2020, at the UL Main campus on Capitol Hill, Dr. Nelson said the online learning semester will be on a system called Moodle.

Moodle, according to Dr. Nelson, is the leading and globally supported learning management system.

He said:” The e-learning is a huge shift and a transformation that will challenge both students and faculty, but deep integration of technology in learning is the future of higher education.”

Dr. Nelson disclosed that an agreement has already been reached with a local partner for the provision of data packages and computing gadgets at affordable rates for registered students.

Dr. Nelson said:” Tuition for the e-learning program is free in keeping with the UL Free-tuition Policy, but only registered students will enroll for the semester.”
