Picnicess Residents Decry Ritualistic Killings

Monrovia Liberia – Citizens of Picnicess in Grand Kru County have petitioned local authorities in the County to find solution to the mysterious killings and disappearances of people in the area.

In their petition read by Alphonso Nyemah at the Administrative Building in Barclayville, the Picnicess Residents said the situation has not only put everyone in a state of fear, but also scaring away investors and visitors.

Pinicess Youth Say They Are Fed Up with Continuous Ritualistic Killings in the area

Their petition was triggered by the recent mysterious death of a Class Room Teacher and Catechist Joseph Nyenplu who went missing while on a fishing expedition on June 30.

The Picnicess Residents claimed up to 50 people have died in similar fashion in recent times and called on the government through the Ministry of Internal Affairs to help cleanse the area from ritualistic activities.

Meanwhile Grand Kru County Superintendent Dorris Ylatuh has condemned the wave of ritualistic killings and mysterious disappearances in Picnicess and vowed the government will take appropriate actions to bring the situation under control.
