MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Chairman of the Traditional Council of Liberia, Chief Zarzan Karwor, wants the Tourism Sector of the country revamped, to generate more revenue for the development of Liberia.
Chief Karwor made specific reference to some historical sites of the Country that could attract tourists to the Country, and the artifacts in the National Museum to generate revenue.
Speaking Saturday, September 26, 2020, during programs commemorating World Tourism Day, held on the Providence Island in Monrovia, Chief Karwor also called for the use of culture in dispute settlements in the Country, as was done in the past.
According to the National Traditional Council Chief, in the past, whenever traditional people intervened into matters, immediate solutions were found.
Chief Karwor said:” Liberia’s cultural heritage has lost its essence and needed to be restored, if the Country is to move forward.”
He then lauded President George Weah for revamping the Providence Island, to boost Liberia’s cultural heritage.
