KAKATA, MARGIBI COUNTY-Former Liberian Football Champions LISCR FC has returned to winning ways, after failing to win their first three fixtures of the season.
LISCR FC, one of the clubs considered title contenders in the LFA Orange First Division, had struggled to win since the start of the season and was shocked last weekend when they were whipped by Freeport FC.
LISCR FC, however, put that behind them at the weekend, responding with a 3-0 win over League strugglers, Small Town FC at the Nancy B. Doe in Kakata City.
Joseph Melto set up Cheick N’Diaye for his first LISCR FC goal in the 26 minute, before Sam Jackson got his own first of the season in the 45th minute.
Mark Karlay ended his own goal drought of the season as well with LISCR FC 3rd goal.
The win could ease the pressure on LISCR FC, but a defeat in their next fixture against Watanga this weekend could add fuel to the fire in their camp.
LISCR FC has one of the best young sides in the Orange National League, but had struggled to get their season off to a good start as was expected.
The victory gave LISCR four points from a possible 12 points in four games, but their Gambian Coach isn’t move by their position on the table as he says the season has just started.
